What is Black Friday & Giving Tuesday?

What is Black Friday?

Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving in the USA, and it traditionally signals the start of the Christmas shopping season. Stores, including online stores, offer big discounts on items, and the ‘Sale’ may even continue until Monday, aka Cyber Monday, or for the rest of the week, aka Cyber Week.

It`s no surprise that the world followed suit as it marks the unofficial beginning of the Festive shopping season. Not only will you find great bargains, but you also get your shopping done early before the neverending queues and traffic at malls and shopping centres. We think online shopping is best as you can shop in the comfort of your own home, nobody pushing you around or wrestling you to the ground. You can skip the queues and mitigate the risk of picking up any germs that can make you sick over the holidays.

Great News!! As a little spoil from us to you, we will be running an ONLINE SALE from 20 November – 4 December 2022! Enjoy a site-wide 20% discount on all items, excluding t-shirts and shoes (T`s & C`s apply). We have a wide variety of beautiful and unique handmade bracelets, stainless steel pendants on chains, rings, and more! Our items make for affordable gifts for your loved ones, for young and old. Shop with us and know that you are giving back and supporting a worthy Cause. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for the coupon code closer to the time – or better yet, subscribe to the mailing list to get the code straight in your inbox! Subscribe here.

What is Giving Tuesday?

GivingTuesday (#GivingTuesday) is the Tuesday after the shopping frenzy that is Black Friday, Cyber Weekend, and Cyber Monday. GivingTuesday is devoted to charitable causes (like Arms of Mercy NPC), encouraging people to focus on giving to others. It is a day to give back to your community and to pay it forward.

You can support AOM and give back by making a donation to our organisation, or by shopping online. All proceeds are donated by AOM towards the ongoing medical care and expenses of our beneficiaries who are living with cancer, rare diseases, cerebral palsy and special needs. We are a small non-profit that do not get any funding from the government, and we rely on the support and generous donations from the public to make a positive difference.
