Fundraising for Nikita & Trinity Naicker – Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Subglottic Stenosis and Laryngomalacia

Nikita and Trinity Naicker

Nikita and Trinity`s story:

On the 26th of April 2013, two warrior princesses were born via emergency C-Section at 28 weeks due to Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS). Nikita & Trinity had a combined weight of 1,9kg and had very lengthy stays in the NICU as well as PICU.

Trinity received a tracheostomy tube at 3 months old and still has it due to a diagnosis called Subglottic Stenosis and Laryngomalacia. She has also been on growth hormone injections since the age of 2 because of failure to thrive and malabsorbtion. To date she goes in to theatre monthly for dilation of her airway.

On 16 July 2018, just when Trinity`s ENT was satisfied with her progress and started talking about taking the trachie out (decannulation), the devastating news broke that Nikita (the “healthy child”) has Accute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Supporting the Arms of Mercy bracelet initiative is a great way to get involved, and to make a difference in the lives of these beautiful girls and their family. All proceeds from sales of these bracelets go directly towards their medical bills, therapy and ongoing treatments. These add up quickly and can be extremely costly. Together we can change their lives one bracelet at a time!
