Update on Reece Trumpelmann – Medical Savings Depleted
Update: 13 May 2019
“Good morning all. Reece is having the filtration test in the 20th which is a 48 hour test. This is to see why his saturation levels dropped quite significantly during the last test. We will then need to hire a machine for 4 weeks to see if it is working and so that they can strictly monitor his levels. And to determine if he tolerates the machine. After those tests are done we can determine exactly which machine will be best suited for him. He also needs to have blood tests done asap.
Along with the fact that at the end of May it will have been 3 months since the last tumors were removed from his jaw and it’s time again to screen for possible new ones. MRI and panoramic ex rays needed. During the MRI they will be checking his pituitary gland as well.
All of this comes at a huge cost. We have depleted medical savings and have quite a large gap before we hit the above payment threshold (we are going to have to cover any and all costs till then). I am trying my best to cover it but it’s impossible. We are stuck.
Please keep Reece in your thoughts and prayers as he goes through all this. He is a very brave boy. But I know it all gets to him. We are just hoping that he can write his exams this term because he missed them last term .
Please keep sharing his story. You never know who might see it and just maybe they can help our kiddo. ” – via Reece gorlin goltz syndrome journey.
